The Alumacraft Difference

Let’s face it, things can get pretty confusing when you shop for a boat. Manufacturers love to talk about all their features. But what most customers really want to know is this: What do your boats have that their boats don’t? So here’s the straight truth about what you can only get with an Alumacraft.

Full-length one-piece oversized ribs

1. Full-length one-piece oversized ribs on our riveted boats

What it means to you: strength and dependability. Our ribs are 12” on center on our all-welded boats, 15” on center on our riveted boats. The competition uses fewer ribs and spaces them wider, which is little like building a house out of code. Sure, it costs a little more to build our boats this way, but we want yours to last.

One-piece hull construction

2. One-piece hull construction

What it means to you: no metal fatigue and a quieter ride. The competition uses as many as three pieces for their hulls. All that welding creates more margin for error and affects the quality of your ride. Combine our one-piece hull with our oversized ribs, and you know you’re getting a superior boat that’s both quiet and built to last.

keel breaks

3. More keel breaks

What it means to you: a stronger hull. A keel break is built-in or pressed ribs in your hull. At Alumacraft, we build our keels with more pressed ribs than the competition—because more “breaks” means a stronger hull. Combine Alumacraft’s seven keel breaks on welded products with our oversized ribs, stringers and one-piece hull construction, and you’ve got the strongest hull for your money. Period.

Aluminum transom construction

4. Aluminum transom construction

What it means to you: Our all-welded jons boast an all-aluminum transom featuring heavy welded box channels with .125 aluminum on both sides. Sure, this isn’t something you can see from the outside, but when you ride an Alumacraft, you can rest assured that your motor is sitting on what we believe to be the strongest transom in the business.

Welded floors

5. Welded floors

What it means to you: a quieter, finished floor. The other guys use rivets on their floors; we weld ours in. The result is not only a quieter floor, but also the peace of mind that you won’t pop rivets when you’re in the rough stuff. Plus, unlike our competitors, Alumacraft gives you an all-welded jon boat (with floor) that also includes aluminum sides. That’s the whole package—and better value.

Riveted boat transoms

6. Riveted boat transoms

What it means to you: a more reliable boat. The outside of a riveted jon boat transom may look the same from boat to boat, but the real difference is on the inside. Some of the competition will only use a 6” board from the top. At
Alumacraft, we support our transoms the full height—
giving you the quality and value you expect for your hard-earned money.
